Safety Snap Hook
Facing pressure from offshore competition, PenSafe asked Ove to explore ways of building innovation into a common snap hook used in fall-prevention harnesses. Initially intended as a low-volume, premium priced alternative to the commodity end of the spectrum, the mandate sought ways to improve both safety and value. Result exceeded expectations, and the final design offers significant advances in safety, ergonomics and visual appeal with no weight penalty.

Actes Tissue Engineering Apparatus
Ove's initial mandate for this product was to assist in the conceptual visualization of a biomedical engineering apparatus used to grow autologous cartilage implants using proprietary techniques. Ove has since become an integral member of the development team, providing conceptual design, prototyping and production part development for a modular clinical unit and the sophisticated disposable cellular factories that it contains.

Tired of struggling for a share of ever-decreasing commodity bottled water margins, Ascent engaged Ove to add value to their exceptionally high-quality water product, pushing it up-market to a more exclusive and higher-margin position. A beautiful, sculptural bottle was the first step, followed by carefully targeted branding and innovative closure features that render the product unique.
