Art Explorium Loft
Design in 3 Dimensions was commissioned to design an interactive gallery for the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, in Florida.

Entitled the Art Explorium Loft , this 1900 sq. ft. gallery design is located on the fifth floor of JMOMA and the intention was to increase the museum’s revenue through school and service group trips, and family activities. We designed the 19 interactive exhibits around the Sunshine state curriculum standards, and the strengths of JOMA’s collection, working with a Toronto based art educator, and the curatorial staff at JMOMA. The exhibits were built in Toronto under Design in 3 Dimensions project Management, and shipped to Florida for installation.

The resulting gallery was presented at the Association of Children’s Museums conference in New Orleans in May 2004, and has created an enthusiastic response by families to the museum.
